Bless Every Home

I would like to share with you a testimony from Larry and Susan Mason. The Mason family became friends of mine as I worked personally with their church as they were going through a pastor search transition. Pastor Jeff Dickson is now their pastor and is leading this church to engage the community with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They share the following testimony about their involvement with the SBCV’s Bless Every Home initiative:

“Every encounter now is intentional,” shared Larry Mason. “I’m always looking for the Holy Spirit just to open the opportunity to share Jesus with them.”

Larry and Susan Mason wanted to reach their neighbors with the Gospel. After attending SBCV’s Annual Homecoming, they learned about Bless Every Home — a resource to help churches reach their communities with the Gospel.

This evangelism tool elevated their passion to share Christ’s love in practical ways. This is now a model Salem Baptist Church in Manakin-Sabot is using where Larry and Susan are active members.

One of the neighbors Larry and Susan prayed for stopped them one day to let them know he got saved, was baptized, and is attending church. Their relationship has grown now to help one another often.

It begins with prayer, but the Lord moves you from prayer to action. Thanks to your gifts through Vision Virginia, neighbors across the state receive prayer and opportunities to see the Gospel through acts of kindness.

You can view this testimony first-hand and a video by clicking here.

Last Sunday I was at Franklin Heights Church, and their pastor shared how they are praying and reaching out to over 9,000 homes now as part of Bless Every Home. This Sunday, First Baptist in Woodbridge launches their emphasis on Bless Every Home. For more information on Bless Every Home, check out sbcv.org/blesseveryhome.

Thank you for your praying and giving as part of SBCV and Vision Virginia! Please make plans to join with others this November for the SBCV Annual Homecoming in Roanoke, sbcv.org/homecoming, I hope to see you there.

Your brother in Christ,
BRIAN AUTRY
